The Era of Taylor Swift

I can barely call myself a Swiftie, but when the photos and videos of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour came out, I was scrolling through them mesmerized 😻

And then I went back and listened to all 10 of her studio albums and her re-recordings and I can say I can sing along to many of the songs 🎵

And I just lovee all of the Eras tour outfits 😍

This is my own list of my favorite song and outfit from each Era !!

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift’s debut album reminds me of college and teenage. My personal favorite is Picture to Burn. How she imagines all these snarky remarks, perfect revenge; but it’s all in her head. That’s exactly what I still do sometimes.

Fearless

I love a spin on fairy tales and Love Story is just such a classic.

Speak Now

Who says TS only writes bad stuff about her exes in her songs? Back to December is a straight up apology to Taylor Lautner and is a very heartfelt one too.

Red

I really love All Too Well (10 minute version). It is rumored to be about her actual relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal but Taylor has neither confirmed nor denied. Honestly, even if it wasn’t, this is still such a beautiful sad song and coupled with it’s music video, it pulls at my heart strings each time ❣️

1989

I have a bunch of songs I love in this album, like, Style, Shake it Off, Bad Blood. Wildest Dreams is a very close contender but my all time favorite will always be Blank Space.

Just the creativity with which she transformed the media made up, psycho serial dater girl image into a song is genius 😈

Reputation

And honey that’s how you rise up from the dead and you do it all the time. Look what you made me do was the first Taylor Swift song I listened to and it brought me out of a low stupor. But Delicate occupies a cute corner of my heart.

Lover

When I think of the Lover album, it’s a sunny, colorful, summery sweet feeling. Again a bunch of favorites in this album, I used to even sing the cute parts of Paper Rings to my niece when she was in her cradle. But the song that slowly enchanted me into it is Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince!

Folklore

I love good metaphors and August fits in perfectly.

Evermore

I love the mustard dress and the moss encrusted piano and No body, No crime is the first murder mystery I have ever heard and hummed.

Midnights

I am a strong believer in Karma just like Taylor Swift is and so it’s no surprise that I ended up liking this song despite all the sparkling on the album.
